Buying a digital printable for the first time can feel a little daunting — but it's actually one of the easiest ways to get beautiful, affordable stationery and décor without waiting for shipping. Here's everything you need to know to go from purchase to print in minutes.
Step 1: Complete Your Purchase & Download Your Files
Once your order is confirmed, you'll receive an email with a download link (check your spam folder if you don't see it!). You can also access your files anytime by logging into your account and visiting your order history.
Your files will typically be delivered as a ZIP folder containing one or more PDF or JPEG files. Save these to a folder on your computer or device — somewhere easy to find, like your Desktop or a dedicated "Printables" folder.
💡 Tip: Keep a backup copy in Google Drive or Dropbox so you never lose your files.
Step 2: Open & Check Your Files
Open the PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader (free to download) for the best print quality. Avoid opening PDFs in your browser, as this can affect colour accuracy and resolution.
Check that the file looks crisp and clear on screen — our designs are created at 300 DPI, which is the standard for high-quality home printing.
Step 3: Choose Your Paper
The paper you use makes a huge difference to the final result. Here are our recommendations:
- Everyday printing — Standard 80gsm copy paper works fine for grocery lists, planners, and practice prints.
- Wall art & décor — Use 200gsm+ matte photo paper or cardstock for a premium feel.
- Wedding stationery — Opt for smooth white cardstock (250–300gsm) for an elegant finish.
- Stickers — Use printable sticker paper (matte or glossy, depending on your preference).
Step 4: Print Your File
Open the file in Adobe Acrobat and click File > Print. Use these settings for best results:
- Page Scaling: Set to Actual Size or 100% — never "Fit to Page," as this can shrink your design.
- Paper Size: Match the paper size in the print dialog to the file size (usually A4 or US Letter).
- Quality: Select High Quality or Best in your printer settings.
- Colour: For vibrant results, use the sRGB colour profile if your printer offers it.
Do a test print on plain paper first to check sizing and layout before using your good paper.
Step 5: Cut, Frame & Enjoy!
Once printed, trim your design using a paper trimmer (much cleaner than scissors) along any crop marks provided. Then:
- Wall art — Pop it into a frame and hang it up!
- Stickers — Use a craft knife or scissors to cut around each sticker.
- Cards & invitations — Score and fold along the fold line for a crisp edge.
- Planner pages — Hole-punch and add to your binder or planner.

Can I print at a print shop?

How many times can I print?

The colours look different when printed — why?
